Product Review: Condor Rip Away EMT Tactical Pouch

Condor’s Rip Away EMT Pouch can be used by paramedics or even just civilians who want to be ultra prepared for any situation they may find themselves in! Even though this pouch was designed to be small and lightweight so as not to weigh you down, this rip away pouch still holds all of the essential first aid items that a medic would need on a run.

As you can surmise from the name of this pouch, Condor designed this EMT pouch with the ability to be accessed quickly by ripping it off at a moment’s notice. As all paramedics know, time is always of the essence with any run, so this pouch gives you a one up on another medic who may be still grabbing for their pouch when you’ve already ripped yours off.

If you need even more room for more supplies, this EMT pouch was designed to be MOLLE compatible with velcro on the front. Even without additional attachments, this pouch has plenty of storage room and tons of pouches that allow you to give all of your tools their own personal spot so you can see it and grab it quickly and easily.

This pouch is available in either black or red and is currently listed at $21.49 at Harry’s. Take a look at our entire section on Public Safety and Tactical Gear.

ALICE Gear and MOLLE Gear will carry that load

MOLLE Military Pack

MOLLE Pack

What is ALICE and MOLLE? We all know the military loves acronyms, and we aren’t talking about beautiful women. When you need to carry a bunch of stuff, there are a few “names” to remember.

ALICE stands for All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment. It consists of an equipment belt and suspenders that a variety of pouches (first aid, ammo) can be attached to with clips. A rucksack with metal frame known as an Alice Pack carries all that the soldier needs to survive in the field. This system was introduced in the 1970′s.

MOLLE is the latest system the military uses, Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment (pronounced Molly). It was introduced in 1997 but saw greatest use after 9/11. MOLLE makes use of rows of PALS webbing, Pouch Attachment Ladder System to attach gear and pouches to packs, vests, and more. MOLLE gear is incredibly versatile and more people are utilizing this system, from military to police to EMTs.

Whether you are a Detroiter or abroad, Harry’s Army Surplus has the ALICE and MOLLE gear to help you carry that load. Check us out in-store or order online!
